Welcome
The Methodist Consultative Council of the Pacific began soon after the formation of the Uniting Church in Australia to provide a means by which the Methodist Churches in Tonga, Samoa and Fiji could relate to each other and to the Australian and New Zealand churches.
Sometime around 1990 the meetings were discontinued. In 1999 the Presidents of Fiji and Samoa began to raise the possibility of recommencing the MCCP meetings. This was agreed with a meeting held in Apia, Samoa from 22-24 March 2001.
